A vintage Victorinox Classic featuring a “Victoria” tang stamp is a collectible small 58mm pocket knife produced roughly between the 1920s and early 1970s. The “Victoria” name honors founder Karl Elsener’s mother before the company adopted the “Victorinox” blend name universally on all tool stamps.History and DatingName Origin: “Victoria” was registered as a trademark in 1921 after the introduction of stainless steel (inox), creating the portmanteau “Victorinox”.Stamp Usage: While the main corporate name changed, the specific “Victoria” stamp continued to be used on the tangs of certain smaller models and blades well into the late 1960s or early 1970s.
