The HORL Premium Set is an accessory kit for HORL roller sharpeners (like HORL 2, 3, and Pro models, but not the Cruise) that refines knife edges with extra-fine honing, featuring interchangeable #3000 (fine) and #6000 (extra-fine) corundum whetstone discs, plus a leather strop for a polished, razor-sharp finish, optimizing even the finest Japanese and Western blades.
Key Components & Function:
Fine Whetstone (approx. #3000 grit): Replaces the standard diamond disc to refine the cutting bevel after initial sharpening.
Extra-Fine Whetstone (approx. #6000 grit): Further refines the edge for an exceptionally smooth, sharp finish.
Leather Strop: A vegetable-tanned strop removes grinding residue and polishes the blade for a professional, burr-free edge.
Compatibility: Works with HORL 2, HORL 2 Pro, HORL 3, and HORL 3 Pro; not for HORL 2 Cruise.
How It Works:
Replace Discs: Swap the standard diamond discs on your HORL sharpener with the #3000 and #6000 grit whetstones.
Sharpen & Hone: Roll the #3000 disc on both sides of the blade, then repeat with the #6000 disc.
Strop: Finish by stropping the blade on the leather strop to remove any remaining micro-burrs and polish the edge.
