Description

The Böker Plus Dog Tag Knife 01BO210 is a highly compact and lightweight folding knife, designed by John Kubasek, that can be worn around the neck like its military namesake. It features a unique magnetic push-button locking mechanism and single-sided blade sharpening for safety.

Key Features and Description

Design Concept: The knife is designed to be an extremely portable and discreet backup knife, mimicking the size and carry style of a standard military dog tag, which can be worn on an included ball chain.

Blade Material and Grind: The blade is made from 440C stainless steel, known for its balance of corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening. It features a chisel grind (sharpened on one side only), which is a key safety feature; the flat, unsharpened side makes contact with the titanium handle plate when closed, maximising safety during carry and use.

Handle Material: The handle/frame is constructed from lightweight, strong titanium. The back of the titanium plate is suitable for personalised engraving of medical data or identification.

Locking Mechanism: The knife uses an innovative “magnetic mechanism” combined with a solid push-button lock to secure the blade in both the open and closed positions, which prevents accidental deployment. This mechanism requires two hands to operate safely.

Operation: The knife is opened manually using a thumb hole.
